When a trade show is the most important marketing opportunity of the year, VIX knew they needed a big idea to stand out from the crowd.

Driving traffic to your booth

VIX Technology is a global company committed to providing public transportation systems that transform how people get around. With user-friendly, seamless interactions that are efficient and cost effective to the provider, VIX wanted to showcase their cutting edge technology to qualified leads at a major tradeshow.

Riders wanted

Prior to the tradeshow, we obtained the list of attendees and highlighted potential leads, then added any VIX prospects that weren’t signed up for the show. We put together a strategy to reach this targeted list and invited them via email and direct mail to visit the booth to experience VIX Technology firsthand. In the direct mail, we included an electronic bus pass with USB and instructed them to take it with them to the VIX booth where they would be granted VIP access.

Everyone on the bus

Instead of a typical trade show booth, we imagined a trade-show bus. We delivered information electronically at various touch points on the bus. First the visitor would swipe to enter the booth as if they were passengers. Then, we delivered video and interactive information to them at various spots as they walked through the “aisle.” Last, they would swipe their card to get off, just as a passenger would.

Seeing – and experiencing – is believing.

The tradeshow was deemed a big success by VIX, with many prospects curious about the bus pass they received and interested in taking a ride at the VIX booth. “We had some quality leads come by the booth and people seemed to love getting the USB cards. The booth got great reviews and it definitely stood out quite a bit from most other booths. Seeing the success of this show, I think we should get moving on a few more initiatives – job well done!” – Craig Daniels, Business Development Manager.
